“As a coastal sculptor, Cornwall’s unrivalled landscape and its rich vein of natural materials provides never ending source material. The old identity of comparing the human form to landscape resonates in my sculpture.”

BOB DAWSON

Sculpture

Bob Dawson’s sculptures have been inspired by environmental and maritime issues taken from studies of the South West coast line. Available in ceramic and bronze, they are extremely tactile and rich in surface texture. These abstract works combine natural and manmade forms. They are ideally suited to alfresco and corporate gardens, or in open office space.

Bob has produced sculptures and paintings on commission for a variety of clients - both public and private. If you are interested in commissioning Bob, please get in touch to discuss it further. Clients can also choose to buy from small runs of limited editions of Bob’s sculptures, or originals of his paintings.

You can also arrange a private viewing of Bob’s studio in Breage, Cornwall and view numerous pieces of his work, both sculptures and paintings, first hand and those in development.

Commissions, sales & studio visits

Bob studied at Stourbridge and Manchester Colleges of Art.

After a teaching career, he set up his first workshop in 1984 in Cheshire. In 1998 he relocated to Devon. In 2017 he moved to Cornwall where he works from his studio and gallery in clay and casts in bronze. He now exhibits at the Penwith Gallery and at the St Ives Society of Artists. His work is shown widely in exhibitions and galleries in the U.K. and abroad.
